What is a TIN and why do I need one?

Understanding your Taxpayer Identification Number.

A TIN (Taxpayer Identification Number) is a unique ID assigned to you when you are registered as a payer. It identifies you in the revenue system and is required to pay bills, view receipts, and access the self-service portal. Your TIN appears on every demand notice sent to you. If you have never received a demand notice and believe you should be registered, contact your revenue authority office.
